Thats so wrong to cut up a seavette.

Hey Ryan, I can appreciate the preservation angle. I bought a Seavette a while back only to save it from the shredder. I couldn't see using the Seavette in it's configuration and didn't have the heart to change it (believe me, I thought about it a lot) so I finally sold it.
The cuddy cap of a Seavette is an insert. It requires no cutting to remove. It is attached to the inside of the standard CC gunwale cap with 5200 strength adhesive and screws. Aft the windshield it drapes over the gunwale cap for support and stability. The teak perimeter simply covers the seam (and looks elegant, of course). Once removed it basically leaves a CC with a Tsceptre floor insert and opens up a world of customization options.
The good news is I think the value of lost2a6's sweet Seavette just went up.
