Default Re: Possible Restore

I guess I'd go for the gold and do the deck, transom, stringers, paint, gel-coat and anything else to restore her to showroom condition. If anyone knows a ball park figure i'd like to hear any input. Thanks, Dave.
Hey, Dave. Welcome to CSC.

Your best option will depend on whether the boat has sentimental value, (i.e. was it handed down from dad?), and how much spare cash you have laying around. I suspect a full restoration by a qualified shop will run you $20K - $30K. From a purely financial standpoint, you'd be better off selling yours and buying someone else's already restored boat, or an unrestored boat in good condition. These boats can be had for much less than the cost of restoration. The money you save can be used for a repower or other upgrades.

Not trying to discourage you, just sayin'

Dave
