Default Re: gas tank on sea craft

'71-'72 Seafari has an OEM 29 gallon tank with 27 gallons useable. Optional 40 gallon was available, and Seafari's which have them are easily identifiable because they have no step-down in the cockpit in front of the cabin door, but the step down is into the cabin itself. The fuel tank is rectangular.

Later '77-'78 Seafari 20' models could be had with a 40 or 70 gallon v-belly tank. I have a friend who has a '77 with the 70 gallon tank. I have also seen a Seafari in the Bahamas with a 15 gallon bow tank mounted below the cabin v-berth.

Like Gillie, with only 27 gallons useable, I carry extra fuel on the deck on long trips offshore, up to 48 gallons extra.
