Anyone here know where I could get a splash well like this one? Would it have to be custom made?
Thanks.
The late Potter models had them, maybe by about 78-79. I remember seeing them on some boats at the Miami Boat show back then, and thought it was a good idea with the low 20" transom cutout used at the time. May have been an optional accessory. Looked like they were just added on, fastened to the transom with screws; don't remember if they were also fastened or sealed to the splashwell at the bottom. The originals had teak trim around the top, with a couple of cup holders. I think the bare laminate on the aft side was covered with indoor/outdoor carpet like they used behind the cockpit shelves on the Seafari. They're shown in the overhead views on the 20' OB models in the Specifications section. Shouldn't be too hard to pop a mold off of one if somebody has one they aren't using.
