Sounds about right. Tires are at least 13", maybe 15", New-ish. I would have to look. But tires are about as big as you might find on a 3000lb single axle trailer.

I wouldn't recommend doing that haul if you know it. Much easier if you are unaware of the situation!

Fishstretcher, thanks for the info. My calculation, a 20 cc, 1600lb + 400 motor+ 500 fuel, misc+ 1000 lb trailer equals 3500 lb, maybe a bit high. Tires should be rated for about 1250 lb each,,so it was about 40 percent over weight. Sound right?

Anybody know a Seacraft 23 cc that looks a lot like DonVs avatar, seen Sunday on the south end of Shell Key, north of Desoto Park in St Pete?
