Just did a little research and the 12 inch edge mount only needs 11 inches of height
Not the 14 inches of a standard tab. Jim I have a soft spot for lenco because I got to Know the original inventor from LI NY. What a nice old guy he was. We both were in agreement about management and ownership of certain NJ boat builders at the time. He passed away and his son sold the trim tab part of their company to other people. But I guess I am just stubborn. I was one of the original testers of the tab. Maybe I am part of the problem then? Sorry jim. Also I have only had a few actuators go bad jim. They are easy to swap out and if they are only a few years old they have been known to cover them past the warrantee. I have also been in the bilge a few times looking for leaks and refilling the bennett oil reservoir . Which in most smaller self bailing boats puts it in very hard to service areas many times. I guess it is a matter of chocolate or vanilla? I have a problem with that too. I only like dark chocolate and hate milk chocolate. I am going to go to the edge mount on the sea craft 20 for under the bracket, I am doing. i am also taking pictures of the bracket build and will document it. and if anyone on Classic sea craft wants to borrow the bracket mold? It will be available. It is made for a 23 sea craft. I am going to cut the lower part narrower. but leave the full width of the top for a swim platform for lack of a better word.
