Yeah we have Sea Tow and Towboat USA but I don't know how they work it in the gulf but up here the insurance only covers 10 miles off shore. At least once a year you hear somebody getting hit with a 5k tow. Aside from the possible BIG tow bill, bobbing around in a CC for 2 hours in October waiting, even within 10 miles, for Sea Tow is not where I want to be.

Have a line on a 200hp SWS right now, decent price and seems to be a runner. My budget is pretty slim this year so new motor(s) are out. My plan is to run the boat a couple seasons or three, get to know the boat then start pulling it apart completely. I'm planning on fixing up the console, wiring, power and perhaps refinishing the gunnel by spring.
