Having done a few restores myself, (my company has done a few also), there is something to be said for restoring something Classic. There just aren't many boats out there that have the lines of a Classic SeaCraft 20, let alone the ride.
Depending on who does the restore and the quaility, there is nothing like showing up at the dock next to some new rides, knowing you have a fine boat and not too many others are like it.
Same thing goes with my Eagle Trawler, pull up next to bunch of newer Grand Banks and what are people talking about and looking at? The Eagle.
Now the secret is, when it is time to sell, to find the individual that has the same taste that you do, and is willing to pay for it.
