The only thing that I ever have seen was that there are some early 80's Sceptres had a hook in one of the stern hull panels. One of the molds was not retired, but should have been. Do a search on this, there are photos showing the problem. Most people don't even know its there. Look at the pre-Tracker boats as overbuilt, but well built boats with heavier core materials. Father Frank did reference wood stringers in a Sceptre repair years ago. I have never seen any pictures of it. I think we would have actually seen this surface with a rebuild in the last 10 yrs if wood was used on multiple boats. those boats are very solid. Heck, my 2 Trackers had no transom flex after 20-24 yrs or structural issues and they are closer to the weight tolerances of Potter and Moesly.
