I had to pull it again put it back up there and it got better again. Maybe try shortening it, disconnect it from the fill and pull it as tight as possible and straight as possible - easier than pulling the hatch - worth a try.

With all due respect, it MAY be a low spot, and it MAY be the vent, as every time I have problems filling mine, it has been the vent hose. Also, i have an inspection hatch that accesses the op if the tank, so the whole process takes about 5 min.
