The tank is out and I do not see any oxidation amazingly enough. The fill hose was literally wet with gas where the seams meet and was pretty brittle so that's why I'm fairly certain that was the source. Still, I do agree since it is so old and I do want to add a few gallons capacity anyway. I already found a place that does custom tanks in San Diego, CA, a few hours away. Looks like they do great work.

As for splash well I really want the fishing room back there. I had a Parker 18 for a few years and it will probably end up looking similar. Should be cutting things out back there starting this week as I have some time off work. The inside will be fully gutted after the transom is done but will never be as perfect as some of the projects I see on here, wow! I want to leave the outside hull alone and hopefully the gunnel tops, they are in such great shape, the outside transom obviously will need painting.
