Since I dont know how to insert text after I post a picture with this new software I'm going to have to re post every time I want to add more text and new pictures....maybe someone can help me with this.
So I started to take out the engine of the 20 sceptre this weekend. Whoever s idea it was to put a V8 in this little boat needs their head examined. There is absolutely no room to work with in the engine box. Note the bottom paint on the boat. Assuming that is the water line it is a good 4 inches above the water line on my 20sf. We will never know because I had no intention of running this boat with so much weight in the back of it.
At any rate I got the engine out.... the whole time cussing the bastards that put it in. It looked to be professionally installed possibly from the factory? I tried to see if it was a factory option but could not figure it out when I looked at the "numbers built and options" page on this site. Maybe someone can enlighten me on that as well. It's a 1975. It really is a cool little boat that grows on you the more you look at it
