Default New 78 Master Angler Project??????

Ok, so Ive picked up my 78 Master Angler sat. Seemed like a good deal considering the resale value of the trailer, cc, new leaning post, etc. The PO explained to me in best detail the condition of the floor and transom. However, the cap needs attention also. Ill post pix of the areas that I know need work and everyone can break the bads news of how far gone the hull is.

I knew it needed the floor redone because the PO bought it from someone that obviously didnt know what they were doing. They patched sections that are now breaking loose. The transom is delaminating but seems solid. I know the truth is that its hiding something inside. My plan is to ad a bracket with a swim platform for the kids. The cap was refinished but has sat for 4yrs and is bubbling and cracking.

Questions:
1. Will the cap have to be removed to repair or is there a process thats easier?
2. When the floor is cut out what and where do I need to look for other problems before closing it back up?
3. The craft will probably never see the ocean again and will spend all its time on one of three lakes local. With that said, will the transom need to be raised?
4. Will the factory scruppers be sufficient or do they need to be changed or reconfigured?
5. Plan is to remove wood from transom and fill rather than replace wood. Will any bracing be needed for the bracket added?
6. Is there a previous build that everyone can suggest searching that contains the best details and pix?

Thanks in advance guys!!
