Anything Strick builds is pretty much guaranteed to be top notch with the best materials used, and he's a wealth of information. But the way he does it may be over and above most others skill level, although it's fun to watch. It's all a matter of what you can afford and what you feel capable of doing. There's a ton of options as far as resins, glass selections and even coring material and 100 different ways to skin the cat. Best bet is to read through a bunch of rebuild threads, look at the pics and you'll get an idea of which way you want to go with it. Once you figure out the building method you want to go with, you'll need to decide how crazy you want to get with materials and start shopping around for prices that suit your budget. I wouldn't stick with following one rebuild though. There's so much good information on each one that it definitely benefits you to browse.
