I have never had on a fish big enough to pull this boat, but Im going to give swording a try next summer so hopefully that will change

roberts wrap,or "acid wrap" - the above gentleman is correct,no flopping of the reel - another advantage is,the drag pressure is actually increased - great design
fighting from the bow,versus "backing down":
the boat moves easier and it's more manuverable from the bow,versus the stern - the guy on the helm watches the guy fighting the fish and can quickly react
i've ran big sportfishermen,and owned a 31 bertram for a number of years - i can honestly state,a center console with a clean bow area is much easier to fight a large fish from,versus a bigger sportfishermen
plus - it's a little "girly" to "back down",when you can charge forward...
