The Seacraft industries per-Trackers have the heaviest fiberglass layup schedule of all of the 40+ years of Moesly / Potter / SeaCraft Industries / Tracker I have seen. Besides the layup, I have heard that the core material is plywood everywhere which is the heavier material vs balsa. You will See waaay less spider cracks in the gel coats. Our 87 18 is a tank and actually sits lower in the water due to weight. A 4 stroke on a SeaCraft Industries 18 sits lower than a Potter or Tracker, but still does fine if the plugs are in.
