Well I did the family trip. We rented from Rose Marina on Marco Island and I spoke to a small tackle shop Capt Petes bait and tackle near Tin City.

First off I want to plug these two business because they were so accomodating to tourists coming down. Rose Marina gave us a 20 ft tide water center console so kind and helpful. And the guy at Capt Petes bait and tackle I told him what I had brought with me for rods and gave me a couple tips on fishing the area. And what bait was around.

Because of our rental we weren't allowed in some of the hot spots for fishing. But we were able to get on some fish. And although I'd like to of hooked up on a tarpon/kingfish or grouper. The half a dozen amber jacks, lady fish, spanish mackerel and a crap load of catfish. Made the day worth it.
