Yeah, my brother's 2006 225 has the VTEC, at about 3800 - 3900 rpm you can feel it change as the valve timing adjustment happens, sure is NO big deal. Ditto on quiet, at idle you have to look at the pee hole to make sure it's running

When we did our transoms I made duplicate wooden stands to mount the engines while working on the transom, that's when I discovered there is NO doubt the Honda is heavier than my clunker Merc.
