Mercs are gone. I put twin 150 etecs on about 15 months ago and love them. Hull is 1998 (I know - not a classic, not a potter, sure to disintegrate any second now).
Etecs have some torque! I was fishing out of Chincoteague, VA last weekend and on Saturday my buddy ran his 30' Grady way up on a mud bank. He called me an I pulled up to a big Grady laying in the mud and 4 guys standing in ankle deep water. I threw them my anchor line and yanked the Grady back and forth until it was off the bar and was floating again. Twin 150s and 4 blade props did the trick.
