I would go with the 5 gallon aluminum tank. Make sure you mount it in a way that positions one of the ports at the bottom of the tank so you can drain it. Any filters are really just to protect the bore of the compressor and there isn't any dust to speak of out on the water. I'd skip the filter as it's just going to get wet and soak up water. It's nice to have a baffle in the intake tube to cut down on the noise and a snorkel to keep out water. I made mine extra long to keep it in the fresh air and avoid sucking up any CO. If you mount a muffler you can point it up at an angle and get it to blow most of the exhaust over the gunwale. I run a 100' hose to a tee and then two 50' hoses to the regs. I use small outside diameter hose as there is significant drag on the hose itself in any current.
