Good observation FF,
Gotta keep in mind that '68 was a pretty experimental time out here in California. There were plenty of kids joining in the Scamper to Canada and Mex to avoid Viet-nam, and plenty of others still singin' the praises of the Age of Seaquarius.

I guess its possible that the Sceptre was on the drawing board as the Seaquarius, and Scamper (or Scampi) was too. That was also the only time I've seen the Peace dove cursive "S" logo too. Maybe just marketing to the hipsters... a Seavilla recently showed up so who knows. Maybe Carla can look into this interesting bit of typographical history.
