Welp, the paint color that I thought matched the hull does not. So I am back to square one. Need to sand off the spot that I put new paint on. Looks like I might be able to get away with polishing where the old reg. number were instead of painting. I also contacted the old owner to see if he new the brand/color of the paint, waiting for him to call me back with the info. He did say that he found some more stuff in the garage that goes to the boat, so maybe its a good thing.
