Based on the pic you posted on your scupper thread, the boat has been redone once already and it doesn't look like a professional job. Before you tear into it, spend some time going through some threads in Repairs/Modifications to get an idea of what you're getting yourself into.
If the deck is stilll solid, you may want to just take care of the wiring issues and run it as-is for a while. Once you start taking her apart, you're going to have a can of worms on your hands. The more you look, the more stuff you'll find that you want to fix.
Take the amount of time and $$ you think it will take to get her in the shape you want and triple it to get a realistic idea of the real cost. It's worth it if you can get through it, but a lot of guys get started and never finish because they had unrealistic expectations at the outset.
