Well the season just ended here for me after two great days of striper fishing. Boat will be coming out this week. I re-proped early in the season and some guys were wondering about the performance numbers with the engine. I went from a no-name stainless prop to a Mercury Enertia from Propgods down in Sarasota- 15 inch 15 pitch. It was like getting a new engine. After fooling around with trim, here are the numbers:
SeaCraft SC21 (2000)
Etec 175 h.p. (2012)
trimmed at 25 deg. per I-Command gauge
cruise at 4200 rpm's 25 knots- burn 10.0 gph per I-Command
WOT 5200 rpm's 33 knots- 16 gph burn

Not a speed demon but fast enough for me. Boat should really have a 200 on it. Boat gets up on plane very quick and easy with new prop and cruises effortlessly at 25 knots. Very happy with it. Now have 316 hours on Etec and no issues to speak of.
