Armstrongs are cheaper, and do the job, but there is much more float in a Hermco. And you don't have the alum paint regimen do deal with. I have a Armstrong, but have hermco envy. Ideally you have a 30" shaft and a larger bracket for a single 30"( or twin 25"). Mine happens to be a 25" Verado, Armstrong, and dare say one of the heavier OB's out there. One big guy has wet feet in corner. self bails at rest. batts power steering pump and reservoir and 130 gallon tank all forward and or under console.

Gen 2? Is there more bracket being added to the Hermco like out to the middl strake I guess? sweet!

I did check out Hermcos site the other day, there was a shot of a hull extension. That looks very cool . Not on a 23 SC I think. Think Bly did that on his 20?

Some day....Hermco . Love to see someone Gucci up a SC 23 hull extension almost like a Euro transom on a Contender.
