Wow, that does look short.
If you're taking the t-top off the boat for modification, why not have them extend the legs on the topside, as opposed to the bottom?
Then the feet and the center mount will still line up. A competent welding shop should be able to handle that.
The T-top I took off my Seacraft was 78" from the deck to the bottom of the overhead electronics box, and another 8" to the top tubing itself, for an overall height of 86".
