I am at the stage in my 20SF build where we are replacing the deck. Toying with the idea of cutting out the "casting platform" as you did.

A few questions. It appears you left the stock cap in place. While walking to the bow, how far is the bolster away from your thighs? Can you lean on it without the inner hull tripping you up near your feet?

I like the flush deck, but seems like you actually loose room because of the flare of the hull sides.

I keep going back and forth on the issue.
