Kenny, Moose is right . . . the f225 is a pretty weak "225", more like a 200 hp over most of its upper rpm range, so won't have near the omph you're used to with a 2-stroke! (See attached torque/HP curves.) Prop selection will be critical if you're planning to run very heavy. I think the f250, which adds variable cam timing to what I believe is the same basic block, is a much stronger motor. Don't know how hard it would be to add that to a 225, but it might be a useful upgrade.

Sure can't argue with the price however, and I'm sure you'll burn a lot less gas with that motor! Denny
