The port (left) motor should have Left hand rotation, aka "counter rotation". As you look forward from the rear, the left propeller should appear to rotate in a counter-clockwise direction to travel forward. The tops of the propeller should rotate away from the center line of the boat when the engine is running in gear.

stbd side - prop rotates right
my mistake - left is counter rotation...
