No Regret on Last Boat Purchase
One of the things I appreciate about the CSC site, besides the expert commentary, is the good natured, usually not too sarcastic posts unlike some other sites. Obviously there are differences of opinion based on our experience and how we use our rigs- i.e. Lenco vs. Bennett, trailer bunks vs. rollers, SF vs. MA vs Seafari’s vs. Sceptres, etc.
I can happily say I never regretted my last boat purchase. It all started about age 12 with a 8’ Minimax kit, followed by a much-used 14’ lapstrake Lyman, 14’ Fabuglas, and 17’ Larson Volero before we ordered our ’76 20’ Seafari at age 30. The 20' SeaCraft was perfect when used for trolling, snorkeling and skiing, but not quite perfect for current usage- watersports on SC lakes. But, my wife wouldn’t let me trade it if I tried and it will be perfect again if we ever move back to Fla. Can't wait for the grandkids to enjoy it with us like our kids did. Even younger wakeboarding friends who don’t consider it a real watersports boat, seem to like the shape of the wake and the comfortable ride when the lake gets rough!
Happy Easter CSC’ers.
