That's exactly how it's supposed to feel when you go from having the engine mounted too low to the correct height. I messed around with props on the 18 a little. IMO That hull likes a little bow lift and a smaller diameter prop so it can shake it azz around dancing across the waves. Too much stern lift on the 18 will get you wet and make the ride a bit harsh.
