There is different types of paper and grits. Alumina oxide and such other types as well. I found the more expensive paper seems to last longer as the grit dose not come off as easily. Seems like they all clog up bad. Wet sanding with finer grits always seems to help with the clogging and extends the life out. The paper backed stuff don't like the water but the 3m plastic backing will last much longer when wet. Keeping a slight water flow across the surface while sanding was the best thing I could find to do to stop the clogging. I would be curious to hear from the pros and see what brad papers and types seemed to work best for them tho.....
