The only corrosion issue Suzuki had was a dissimilar metal casting plug in a 4 month production run of the early df140s. It was a big deal as it caused early failure of the midsection where the plug was. As far as the 2004 df200-250 that ingested the air throttle body screws, this was a result of a failure to apply thread locker on the screws during assembly of the plenum. This also was a single year limited run issue to which not all the year's run was affected. The stupid part of that issue was the hysteria created about the screws caused by non-Suzuki engine techs scaring Suzuki owners into paying to have the screws checked or R&R with Loctite. Part of that blame landed on Suzuki as in 2004 there were hardly any qualified service centers and techs so if you needed service it fell on unqualified techs that would turn every screw on the motor trying to "fix" things. Ask me how I know....
