Interesting read. Straight from the horse's mouth... Codega's regulator hull is IMHO the best CC design out there. Ran one for a season and all I remember is how well that hull stood up to ANY and all conditions. Such a comfortable and smart layout as well for 26' When the boat was sold I did the sea trial with new owner from NC and we had it out in what must have been breaking 8'. Soon to be owner says "holy $h!t!!!" as we are barreling towards them at 25 knots. I've become aware of the scupper issue on the 26's and say that is more or less the builder looking for an easy way to get the hulls together without doing extra work. Unfortunately all decisions have a trade-off. Still a great boat.
Nice to hear such kind words about the variable deadrise. Clearly a design before its time, but all of us here already knew that! Also nice to see competing boats all given a fair nod. Thanks for sharing.
