It could be the signal sent front the small oil tanks on th engines that are falsely sending the signal to fill them up more. There is a float switch on the engine oil tank that tell the remote tank(s) when to start filling and when to stop. It's a float on the rod that sticks down into the engine oil tank. Make sure it's not hung up and slides up and down freely. You can take it out, turn the key to the ignition position, but don't start the engine. Then slide the float up and down and listen for the remote oil pump that is in the reserve oil tanks to cycle on and off. I had similar problems with my 1988 Yamaha 2-stroke. Fixed it and run it for years with no more problems.
