Your spot on, we have discussed this many times on different threads. I got soaked crossing Lake Okee in a NW
12--15kt wind slapping my stbd quarter ..... I was sure glad it was fresh water and didn't need a mask & snorkel.
Btw: it was a 3' confused slop. I just could not get on top to get the "soft entry feel"
I am glad to see you take on this project. I await pictures
