I had mine made outta 1/8th.
Coal tar epoxied and I foamed it in.
I know I know, but it will last for 25 plus years or longer than I may be boating.
Make a new coffin or you will be smelling gas forever.
Glass it as well. My old one was only hot coated in places...
Make a collar around the rigging hole in the deck.
My tank failed on the side there.
