If you mount it per NoBones recommendation, you may not need a jack plate.
This JPL4300 Vance Mfg. Jackplate has the least setback (3")of anything I've seen, but it's only rated for 225 hp. It's 4" height increase was all I needed.

Don't know what motor you have, but the BRP Cyclone is an excellent 4B prop with lots of stern lift. The BRP Rebel is also a very good 3B stern lifting prop with lots of blade area and cupping. Pic below shows what you should see up on plane if your height is right.
