When I take a boat off the trailer I put the stands on the outside corners of the transom. I use regular boat stands as I have a lot of them. It looks like the pads on the top on your jack stands need to be bigger and definitely tie them together. It would really suck if the boat wound up sitting on the garage floor! Just take it slow and easy and have somebody watching the jack stands at all times. Good luck.
