Default Console Work

Here is the latest on the console and special thanks to donv for all the help. He has redesigned the console so that it will be so much easier to work on. All sides have been recored and new vertical divider wall installed. Custom designed drop down electronics box base designed to help in servicing electronics if necessary. Top 3 inches of console cut down flat so the vertically challenged can see over top of console. All original cut outs for steering, electrical, controls, etc, have been glassed back in and ready for fairing. All of cut outs that needed filled where cored with fiberglass material from original transom. FYI......... 1/4" thick fiberglass is the norm on the console. JV at Castillo Boats calls the console the "Tank". Never let anyone say Potter did not use any fiberglass in his boats!!!!!!

Final note.... The front fish box drain was plumbed through the center of the keel of the boat. We choose to fill this and we will pump out fishbox through a diaphragm macerator pump at the transom. What is so impressive about this is that the hull at the keel was at least 1.125 inches thick!!!!!! Thats is a lot of glass!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Mr. Potter!!!!!!!!
