I find that with thicker resins, if I have to wet out in place I have to roll the heck out of it to get it to wet out evenly, and by the time i'ts wetted out sufficiently I've stretched it or warped it, and end up with hairball ends.
Mostly on vertical or overhead surfaces. Floors I can do.

My go-to utility glass is 1708 biax. Maybe that's too heavy?
