Under the cap appears to be strips of wood glued or screwed to the cap in places. In other words, the pieces of wood seem to be where the rod holders are etc. I don’t see any bolts or screws but I will take some pictures to show what I mean. Thanks for the guidance on the floor. For the fuel tank, it appears there is just a small hole where the fill line etc comes out but that’s it. I am just guessing that as I remove everything from the console and finally remove the console, more of the floor will need attention than just where the fuel tank is. Also seems to make sense if I am cutting that much of the floor to replace the tank, maybe makes sense to address the whole thing. Just not sure what structure is actually under the floor as near the hull sides seem to be the softest and I assumed that is where the most support would be.
