I reached out to Uncle Boo last night and he said you were closer to the real threat, glad to hear of your good luck. I’m no longer involved in Rescue work but have the ability to make a run up there to help with supplies, saw work, even just visit a couple of shelters with my (non-certified) Therapy Golden. Thanks for the response. I was wondering about Boo, he is north of me a little. Glad he is ok. Wilmington was of the worse hit. North of there got better the further away you got. Due to the slow moving nature of the storm (way slower than most) the massive amounts of rain fall and storm surge flooded a lot of places that never have flooded before. Upwards of 500 people had to be rescued that didn't evacuate. Many say they should of left but when you never seen the water rise in you area before you don't think you have the risk of flooding. Most have been rescued now but the river may rise again once it crest Thursday and it may happen all over again. Praying for the best possible outcome. Prayers needed...
