OK - Really starting to second guess keeping it at 20" and just going the closed transom/bracket route. the only thing I did not love about my old Sailfish was the lack of the live well. I hate the idea of removing the splashwell/cutting board but looking through my thread and a bunch of other threads about enclosing the transom on a 20', I think I may just bite the bullet and enclosed it. I know it is going to be a LOT more work but I am afraid if I don't do it, I will not love the boat and I don't want to have regrets that may end up leading to my feeling less than ecstatic when I finally get her back in the water.

Say a prayer - I might bring my sawzall home tonight and once that hits the splashwell, there will be no turning back...
