I have a 94 Ocean Pro 150 on my 74 CC and for the two years I've had it, it's been Bulletproof. The point where I recently picked up a used etec 175 that I was going to put on but I'm hesitant to do so because of the faith I have in the 150. I got a top end of 45 miles per hour and I think a cruise around 30-32 at 3000 RPMs. Which I can Cruise offshore for about 50 miles on half a tank with the standard 47 gallon tank. In that. I usually have the throttle close to buried or maybe 15% of that time. Stock boat, except raised transom to 26in, no t-top. Prior to me acquiring it, it's my understanding that it only had about 10 hours on it in the last 7 to 10 years leading up to my purchase. It was trailer kept when I got it and still is. There has never been bottom paint on it so I assume the boat always has been trailer kept. I'm the fourth owner of the boat and presumably the third owner of the engine. Granted, I'm just sharing my experience but I've never heard or read everything negative about them to date.
