Default Engine Mounting Jig

Yes a jig as you pictured would be convenient if the bolt hole pattern was correct and if the drop to the top holes was also correct. I recently carefully made one from 5/8” plywood that I clamped on at the desired height. Also used a small square next to the drill to get perpendicularity to the transom. My friend who helped me during the engine install was surprised all four bolts went in without any redrilling.
