X2 on what John Said. I just dove into a 71 20 SF and found wood to be in keel, and hollow stringers throughout

Hull and stringers are resin & glass - no sandwich coring at all. in 1971 I believe that you have 4 hollow stringers - They look like they were made in a mold and then tabbed into the hull (hollow), no foam filled box stringer like the later models.
Quick edit - the cap coring I have seen is in later model MA boats. I don't know if the cap in the 2-piece hulls is cores or not. If you pull a rod holder out you will be able to see it.
