Mercurys would be nice though! The bracket is original and intact, just not any extra flotation, which it needs!! After talking to Freddie on his 27, at least I will be able to run on 1 300 up to 40mph if I have 1 300 out of commission. The gelcoat is in very good condition. Non-skid is shot, but the cores only look bad in the hatches so far. I will plan on:
1 a new transom and transom door
2 new 300's
3 new bracket
4 re-wire with new electronics
5 new tanks plus a fresh water tank
6 And then take it piece by piece after that

The goal is a hard top, enclosure, 2nd station, a/c for the cabin and enclosure, windlass, custom transom seating and in front of the console seating. The plan is for the 27 to be in Palm Beach County and the 23 to be in Manatee County- FL West Coast.
Congratulations on your 27. Definitely go with an extra floatation bracket. I have the drawings from Armstrong if needed. Boat came standard with two 150 gallon tanks I believe. When I replace mine, I am thinking of leaving forward tank at 150 but cut down rear tank to 75, which will help lighten up the aft end a bit.
