I just purchased an 87' walkaround. Mine has at least 4" from the underside of the deck to the top of the stringers. So there are big blobs of bonding about 3 feet apart. Apparently there should have been more as there are spider cracks where the blobs of bonder are. Was your like that?

Are other models/vintages like that?

I replace deck w/ 3/4 marine ply and glassed sealed both sides before glassing in. Original exterior ply wood deck was glassed in at edges & painted and only had 2 soft spots so I’m not worrying about rot till I’m gone. I also like the weight matching original design parameters of boat. Light is great too but boat can fly around more in chop
