I had an '83 Ramcharger Royale 4x4 that was a beast. I had Dana 60 rear and 44 front differentials. I replaced the original Thermo-quad with a simple mechanical 600 cfm Edelbrock and installed a Crane hydro-roller camshaft kit for off-road trucks with lots more lift that greatly improved my low-end torque. I put a small (3.5") lift kit on it to clear the 34x10.50R15" tires. Interior was Rhino-liner with overhead rifle and rod racks. It had some light rust, but nothing that wasn't fixable with readily available repair panels.

I had just parked the truck in front of the house after doing my volunteer USAF Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol stuff on base one day, and a trio of guys in military uniforms hopped out. One was an American USAF officer and the other two were a Jordanian and Saudi C-130 pilots who were doing flight training here at Eglin AFB. They had seen me driving the truck back from Eglin AFB and had followed me off the base. The Saudi pilot offered me $9,000 cash for the truck if I would conclude the deal that day, because they were flying to Jordan the next day and had to arrange to ship it home.

I miss that truck.
